Engineering Manager — Agent-Powered Mission Console

You will lead and scale a team building full-stack agentic workflows for Vannevar Labs’ agent-powered mission console. This product-focused technical leadership role directly supports expanding the flagship Decrypt product for international allied partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead a growing engineering team (~5 engineers, expanding to ~7) and own team execution and scaling
• Build and ship production full-stack agentic workflows for a user-facing mission console
• Partner closely with product, design, and customer teams to deliver iteratively
• Drive technical leadership for agent systems used in national security contexts
• Support roadmap and expansion efforts, including international allied partner enablement

Requirements

• 8+ years building and shipping production software (full-stack)
• 3+ years leading engineering teams (5–10 people)
• Product-focused engineering background with experience shipping customer-facing AI/LLM products in production
• Strong hands-on technical leadership (not a purely people-manager role)
• Technical proficiency across:
  • Python / TypeScript / React (full-stack)
• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks such as:
  • LangGraph
  • Pydantic AI (or similar)
• U.S. citizenship required (no visa sponsorship)

Nice to Have

• Experience with agentic systems specifically in defense or national security
• Willingness to travel for team offsites and customer/offsite visits

Work Arrangement & Compensation

• Fully remote in the U.S. with flexible hours
• Annual team off-sites (face-to-face)
• Salary: $200,000–$260,000 (plus equity options). Potential for slight increase.
