About the role

Role Overview

Joveo AI is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a product engineering team responsible for the people, processes, and technical foundation that enable sustained, high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers through regular 1:1s and feedback
Own team delivery: planning, execution, quality, and retrospectives
Partner with Product Managers to align engineering capacity with roadmap priorities
Drive technical excellence including code quality, system design, and engineering standards
Hire and build a high-performing, inclusive team culture
Represent the team’s work and needs in cross-functional leadership discussions

Requirements

Experience managing software engineering teams in a technology company
Strong technical background to engage in architecture and code reviews
Proven ability to grow engineers via coaching, feedback, and career development
Excellent written and verbal communication for a distributed, async team
Experience with agile delivery, sprint planning, and engineering metrics
Ability to balance technical debt, velocity, and quality trade-offs at a team level
