About the role

Role Overview

Joveo is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a product engineering team. You’ll build both the technical foundation and the team/process needed for sustained, high-quality delivery—balancing hands-on technical leadership with people management.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback, and coaching
Own team delivery: planning, execution, quality, and retrospectives
Partner with product managers to align engineering capacity with roadmap priorities
Drive technical excellence: code quality, system design, and engineering standards
Hire exceptional engineers and build a high-performing, inclusive team culture
Represent the team in cross-functional leadership discussions

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience managing software engineering teams in a technology company
Strong technical background with the ability to contribute to architecture and meaningful code reviews
Track record of growing engineers via coaching, feedback, and career development
Excellent written and verbal communication for a distributed, async environment
Experience with Agile delivery, sprint planning, and engineering metrics
Ability to balance technical debt, velocity, and quality trade-offs at the team level
