Engineering Manager (Remote)

Role Overview

As an Engineering Manager, you will oversee Huckleberry’s core products and ensure they remain reliable and high-quality as the company scales. You’ll translate business objectives into technical execution, lead and mentor engineers (including an offshore contingent), and partner cross-functionally to deliver on roadmap commitments.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Performance: Own technical health of core mobile products and build/improve infrastructure to support 10M+ active users.
• Strategic Roadmap Execution: Convert business goals into technical milestones, defining the “how” and “when” for high-quality delivery.
• Quality & Bug Resilience: Create and implement bug management strategies, including rapid-response workflows and proactive architectural changes to reduce technical debt.
• AI Integration (Agentic Workflows): Optimize the development lifecycle using AI by embedding agentic tools for:
  • product building
  • automated testing
  • faster build times
  • improved code quality
• Global Team Leadership: Manage and mentor an engineering team, setting cultural/professional standards and enabling excellence across onshore and offshore teams.
• Process Optimization: Design engineering workflows that balance speed and stability.

Requirements

• 7+ years software engineering experience, including 3+ years people management.
• Proven ability to scale B2C products beyond 10 million users.
• Experience leading both onshore and offshore engineering teams and developing talent.
• Deep expertise in mobile ecosystems (iOS/Android) and infrastructure at scale.
• Demonstrated success embedding agentic AI into the SDLC, improving velocity and code reliability.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder management and distributed teams.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration, especially with Product Managers to produce actionable roadmaps and execution plans.
