About the role

Role Overview

Engineering Manager at Quantexa (full remote; London, GB). You will lead and support engineering teams building and improving the Quantexa Platform, ensuring high-quality delivery in a live SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to deliver new components and features for the Quantexa Platform, with a strong focus on quality.
Lead, mentor, and develop engineers at all levels; contribute to recruiting, onboarding, learning, and career progression.
Participate in architectural and technical discussions.
Work with Product Managers and Team Leads to plan upcoming work and coordinate delivery.
Identify and drive improvements in processes and ways of working across the department to improve collaboration, quality, durability, and scale.

Requirements

Experience delivering software across the full lifecycle: design → implementation → testing → deployment in a live SaaS environment.
Strong planning and delivery skills, with understanding of Agile processes and experience working across multiple teams.
Background in software development and architecture, including experience with web applications and/or data-intensive systems.
Enjoy identifying and supporting organizational changes that help engineering teams work more effectively.
Experience with people management practices (enthusiastic about developing others).

Nice-to-haves / Additional Skills

Infrastructure-as-Code, containerization, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
Automated testing: functional, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
Functional programming with Scala or Java, and/or modern front-end frameworks such as Angular (2+).
Experience delivering software both on-premise and as a service.
