Engineering Manager (Provider)

Role Overview

As an Engineering Manager (Provider) at Headway (full remote), you will lead and grow an engineering team focused on provider acquisition and growth. You’ll partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment on process and product outcomes, while contributing to the company strategy and roadmap.

Key Missions

• Lead and manage an engineering team delivering on provider acquisition and growth goals, ensuring alignment on prioritization and outcomes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to build systems that enable rapid experimentation and long-term scale.
• Contribute to product roadmap and strategy, staying an active technical contributor and influencing key design decisions.

Requirements

• Product-minded, data-informed engineering leader with a strong ability to drive outcomes through technical investments.
• Track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong product mindset and experience building cross-functional relationships to improve user experiences and trust.
• Strong focus on experimentation and growth, balancing short-term learning with long-term scalability.
• 3+ years experience as an Engineering Manager.
• 3–5+ years experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong technical foundation to ensure sound technical decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams and functions.

Nice to Have

• Experience in health tech and/or user-facing products.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
• Prior experience with Python, React, and AWS infrastructure.
• Experience shipping or managing AI-powered product features, especially in high-trust domains (e.g., clinical tools or financial systems).
