Role Overview
Engineering Manager for Product Development & Vertical Brands (Remote) at DICK’S Sporting Goods. You will lead a team of 6+ software engineers responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a mix of custom applications and SaaS packaged solutions supporting the company’s private brand growth across hardlines and softlines.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6+ software engineers.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Design to translate business requirements into software solutions for the Vertical Brands group.
- Own delivery: oversee project execution from concept to deployment, managing priorities, resources, and deadlines with quality standards.
- Drive technical excellence by setting processes and best practices, encouraging innovation, and ensuring strong engineering standards.
- Establish and reinforce a collaborative, inclusive, high-performing team culture.
- Support continuous improvement through coaching, feedback, and professional development.
Required / Core Skills
- Experience leading software engineering teams and managing delivery and talent.
- Strong backend and full-stack knowledge across the provided tech stack.
- Ability to align engineering initiatives with business objectives and roadmap planning.
