Role Overview
As an Engineering Manager at Point, you will lead two engineering teams focused on AI-driven workflow optimization and automation. You will set and execute technical strategy, mentor engineers, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable automation that improves operational efficiency and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor two engineering teams delivering AI-driven workflow automation.
- Define and execute technical strategy for workflow optimization to ensure scalable, reliable automation.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, and Operations to identify and implement AI-powered improvements.
- Ensure high-quality execution balancing speed, technical excellence, and business impact.
- Scale and optimize engineering processes, promoting best practices in automation, observability, and system reliability.
- Build a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, continuous learning, and innovation.
- Track and measure impact using data-driven approaches to evaluate automation effectiveness.
- Hire and develop talent to keep teams high-performing and aligned with company goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years software engineering experience, including 3+ years in engineering management leading multiple teams.
- Experience scaling teams and delivering high-impact projects with measurable business outcomes.
- Proven cross-functional collaboration with Product, Data Science, and Operations.
- Deep technical acumen in backend systems, AI/ML applications, or workflow orchestration (coding experience a plus but not required).
- BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on coding experience (explicitly noted as a plus).
