Role Overview

Point is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead two engineering teams focused on AI-driven workflow optimization and automation. The role drives technical strategy, mentors engineers, and partners cross-functionally to deliver scalable automation solutions with clear business impact.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor two engineering teams focused on AI-driven workflow automation and operational efficiency
Define and execute technical strategy for scalable and reliable workflow optimization
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, and Operations to identify and implement AI-powered improvements
Ensure high-quality execution with a balance of speed, engineering excellence, and business outcomes
Scale and optimize engineering processes, promoting best practices in automation, observability, and system reliability
Foster engineering culture centered on ownership, continuous learning, and innovation
Track and measure impact using data-driven evaluation of automation effectiveness
Hire and develop talent to keep teams high-performing, engaged, and aligned with company goals

Requirements

5+ years software engineering experience, including 3+ years in engineering management leading multiple teams
Experience scaling engineering teams and delivering high-impact projects with measurable business results
Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Data Science, and Operations
Deep technical acumen in backend systems, AI/ML applications, and/or workflow orchestration (coding experience is a plus but not required)
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience)

Remote / Location

Remote-first: work from anywhere in the U.S., with option for in-person collaboration at the Palo Alto, CA HQ.
