Engineering Manager (Platform)

Role overview

Scandit is hiring an Engineering Manager (Platform) for the Platform Engineering team. You will lead DevOps and SRE professionals, drive cross-team initiatives, and ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow the Platform Engineering team; provide structure and clarity for planning, execution, and reporting.
• Own and continuously improve cloud infrastructure operations and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive cross-team initiatives (e.g., security and compliance) to completion.
• Build roadmaps, milestones, and progress reporting so stakeholders have visibility into plans, risks, and delivery.

Requirements

• Experience leading DevOps/SRE or platform teams in a cloud-native environment (e.g., AWS, GCP, GitLab or similar).
• Strong project/program management skills, including stakeholder communication and cross-functional alignment.
• People-first leadership style with the ability to engage with engineers at all levels and provide broad technical guidance.
• Experience leading distributed teams with strong communication practices.
• At least 3 years software engineering experience and 5+ years leading teams.
• Structured, pragmatic engineering leadership focused on clarity and predictability.
