About the role

Role Overview

Join Lattice as an Engineering Manager (Platform) in the Platform Engineering organization. You will lead a team responsible for building and evolving foundational platform capabilities that help engineers deliver high-quality products efficiently and reliably.

Key Missions

Lead and develop a team of software engineers, fostering an inclusive culture aligned with company values.
Partner with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities that improve platform capabilities and operational excellence.
Drive execution against team goals, balancing short-term delivery with long-term technical investments.

Responsibilities

Improve engineering effectiveness and support long-term platform investments.
Support internal initiatives across platform, infrastructure, shared services, and developer productivity.
Provide technical judgment and engage in architectural and operational discussions.
Communicate and influence across organizational boundaries.

Requirements

Experience balancing short-term execution with long-term technical investments.
Experience leading teams owning platform, infrastructure, shared services, developer productivity, or similar foundational systems.
Strong appreciation for reliability, operational excellence, scalability, and engineering effectiveness.
Experience managing and developing software engineers.
Passion for building healthy engineering cultures and supporting individual growth.
Strong partnership and communication skills to collaborate across functions.
Experience with cloud-based systems and modern software development practices.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with autonomy and ownership.
Track record delivering impactful technical initiatives through high-performing teams.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience supporting internal platform/infrastructure/developer experience/productivity initiatives.
Familiarity with technologies used at Lattice: AWS, Node.js, React, GraphQL, Postgres.
Experience improving engineering velocity, developer experience, reliability, or operational maturity.
