Engineering Manager – Money Management (Banking)

Role overview

Engineering Manager for the Money Management (Banking) area, leading the Banking Experience team at Shine. You will own the team’s vision and strategy while improving delivery flow and driving engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing squad of engineers.
• Build a team culture grounded in psychological safety, blamelessness, and high standards.
• Optimize delivery flow to protect the team from cognitive overload and organizational distractions while maximizing business value.
• Drive adoption of engineering best practices, including:
  • Clean code
  • DDD (Domain-Driven Design)
  • Testing
• Ensure systems are observable and secure within a highly regulated environment.

Requirements

• Experience managing engineering teams and delivering outcomes through a squad model.
• Strong focus on engineering excellence (quality practices like clean code, DDD, and testing).
• Ability to improve delivery flow and protect focus in a fast-moving organization.
• Familiarity with operating in regulated/secure environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Background in fintech or banking domains, especially money management experiences.
