Role overview
Engineering Manager for Materia AI (Full remote). You will lead and provide technical guidance to engineering teams across multiple initiatives, owning the technical roadmap and long-term technology strategy.
Responsibilities
- Manage and provide technical support to engineering teams across multiple product initiatives
- Develop and execute a long-term technology strategy aligned with organizational goals
- Lead adoption of advanced engineering practices to improve innovation and efficiency
- Mentor team members and support organizational growth and scaling
- Drive process improvements and transformations to strengthen team development and product delivery
Requirements
- 3+ years in a people leadership and product development leadership role
- 8+ years of software development experience
- Strong software development background with a Python development stack
- Experience with AWS cloud development
- Demonstrated strategic planning, organizational development, and team scaling experience
- Experience working with Agile development processes
- Ability to identify and implement new technologies to improve the product
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Nice to have
- Frontend experience with React, TypeScript, or Tailwind (preferred but not required)
