Engineering Manager

Role Overview

As an Engineering Manager at Lyra Health, you will lead a small engineering team, collaborate closely with Product, Data, and behavioral health specialists, and ensure strong software development/deployment practices with high quality and security.

Key Missions

• Lead and manage a small engineering team for the design, development, and deployment of core product functionality.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with key partners (Product, Data, behavioral health specialists) to align technical work with business needs.
• Ensure best practices across the full software development and deployment lifecycle, maintaining high quality, security, and standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years overall experience, including 2+ years in management.
• Experience building enterprise or consumer web applications.
• Strong communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Proven project management skills.
• Strong focus on execution and delivery, delivering secure, scalable, high-quality software.
• Comfortable working with Product, Data, and Clinical teams.
• People leadership experience: developing, mentoring, and motivating engineers and building a collaborative/inclusive culture.

Nice-to-Haves

• Startup experience.
• Familiarity with AI tools and technologies, especially agentic development and LLMs, and experience applying them to healthcare, personalization, or workflow automation.
