Engineering Manager

Role Overview

Engineering Manager (Technical Leadership) – Power System Studies & Interconnection Fully remote (U.S. or Canada). Hands-on technical leader responsible for scaling a team of power systems engineers working on transmission planning, interconnection, and advanced grid studies. This is not a general management role—expect to remain actively involved in power system studies while leading the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a team of power system engineers focused on:
  • Transmission planning
  • Interconnection (generation and/or load)
  • Advanced grid/system studies
• Tackle complex, system-level problems across:
  • Utilities
  • ISOs/RTOs
  • Renewable developers
  • Large load customers (including data centers)
• Perform and/or review technical study work, including:
  • System Impact Studies (SIS)
  • Facility Studies
• Apply and guide execution aligned with ISO/RTO processes

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with a Power Systems focus
• 10+ years of experience in power system studies, including:
  • Transmission planning and/or Interconnection
  • Direct experience performing and/or reviewing SIS and/or Facility Studies
  • Strong knowledge of ISO/RTO processes

Required Technical Skills

Hands-on experience with at least one:

• PSS®E / PSSE
• PSCAD / EMTDC
• TARA
• PowerWorld
• PSLF

Compensation

• $200,000 – $240,000+ base + bonus
