Role Overview

Engineering Manager for a fully remote team (EST; CST as the furthest allowed). This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage engineering teams while remaining hands-on with coding
Contribute to system design and architecture while actively building
Drive complex, cross-functional delivery initiatives
Support continuous improvement and team engagement with proactive leadership
Work across technical and non-technical stakeholders

6–8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years managing engineering teams
Strong hands-on development experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)
Experience building and operating cloud-native applications on AWS
Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and event-driven architectures
Experience implementing modern engineering practices:
- CI/CD
- Automated testing
- Observability
- Security

Workflow-driven or compliance-sensitive systems experience (e.g., case management, decisioning)
Exposure to AI/ML or data-driven product capabilities
Experience with platform-based architectures and shared services
Familiarity with security and regulatory considerations for sensitive user data
