Engineering Manager

Role overview

Join Garner Health as an Engineering Manager to lead a specialized team building AI-assisted development tools and owning the Developer Experience (DevEx) roadmap. You’ll architect AI integrations, lead teams, and drive measurable engineering impact through metrics and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team focused on AI-assisted development tools and platforms.
• Architect and implement AI-assisted development capabilities (including agentic code review, approval workflows, and on-call processes).
• Define and track engineering metrics such as:
  • adoption
  • velocity
  • quality
• Collaborate with product and security engineering leads.
• Own the DevEx roadmap, translating ambiguous developer needs into clear plans delivering measurable improvements.
• Communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and resolve cross-team dependencies.
• Use a systematic approach to identify root causes of productivity blockers and design scalable AI-driven solutions.

Requirements

• Technical mastery in modern infrastructure and AI integration, able to lead technical design reviews and influence engineering direction.
• Proven record of end-to-end ownership of complex technical systems with high reliability and performance.
• Ability to operate with urgency, strong accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback.
• Strong stakeholder and dependency management skills, especially translating technical trade-offs for non-technical partners.

Nice to have

• Experience measuring and improving engineering ROI via adoption/velocity/quality metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to design scalable AI-driven solutions for developer productivity.
