Engineering Manager, Experimentation

Role Overview

Engineering Manager, Experimentation for a client in the Enterprise Technology space. You will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and business transformation, partnering across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers (coaching, feedback, performance management)
• Partner with Product Management and Design to define and prioritize the project roadmap
• Ensure delivery of features on time and to quality standards
• Collaborate with other teams on infrastructure decisions and dependency management
• Communicate project roadmaps, risks, and progress to engineering and stakeholders
• Establish team norms to improve collaboration and engagement
• Drive improvements in reliability and incident response for data infrastructure
• Participate in hiring to grow the engineering team

Requirements

• 3+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years managing backend or infrastructure engineers
• Strong ability to align engineering execution with business goals through Product Management
• Proven communication skills for distributed teams across time zones
• Experience mentoring engineers and managing performance
• Familiarity with observability practices for production infrastructure
• Experience leading experimentation/experimentation-adjacent initiatives is implied by the role title

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Go or similar backend languages (Java, Python, Rust)
• Familiarity with data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift)
• Familiarity with data pipeline tools (Airflow)

Location & Compensation

• Remote (US-based candidates only); no visa sponsorship
• Compensation: $163,000 – $224,070 annually
