Engineering Manager

Role Overview

As Engineering Manager (Document Generation) at EvenUp, you will lead a high-impact engineering team, drive execution across complex initiatives, and partner with product and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Missions

• Lead and scale a team building AI-native document generation workflows.
• Drive execution across complex, high-priority initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with founders, product, and cross-functional partners to deliver customer-centric outcomes.
• Establish and uphold a high bar for engineering quality, reliability, and operational excellence, championing best practices across architecture and coding standards.
• Mentor and develop engineers, including guiding technical decision-making with a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on contribution.

Requirements

• Experience leading teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Proven ability to ship and scale complex, high-quality software systems.
• 4+ years of direct people-management experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong technical background with distributed systems and modern backend architectures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functionally.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and bias toward execution.
• Demonstrated success balancing strategic leadership with hands-on technical work.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience or strong interest in AI/ML, LLM-based systems, or legal tech.
• Background in AI-native or social impact-driven products.
