Role Overview

Join EvenUp as an Engineering Manager for the Client Portal team. You’ll lead and mentor software engineers, own the technical direction of the portal, and partner with product and design to deliver intuitive user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, guiding architectural decisions and supporting career growth.
Own the technical direction for the Client Portal, designing extensible architecture and driving execution end-to-end across the software development lifecycle.
Collaborate with product, design, and other stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions aligned with user needs.
Set and uphold engineering standards for:
- Quality, security, documentation
- Performance, testing, and observability

Required Profile

Commitment to maintainable code, best practices in testing and reliability, and strong execution speed.
Strong understanding of scalability, performance, and security.
Experience building complex SaaS solutions, including scalable web portals, resilient public APIs, and multi-system integrations.
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Product-minded: translate user needs into reliable, scalable technical solutions.
4+ years of engineering management experience, including hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers.

Nice-to-Haves / Familiarity

Familiarity with React/TypeScript, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and orchestration frameworks.
Experience in legal tech, AI-driven applications, or other social impact domains.
Experience in a high-growth startup or building client-facing integration platforms.
