Engineering Manager, EMEA (Core)

Role overview

Engineering Manager for the EMEA region (100% remote), reporting to the Director of Engineering. You will lead the team responsible for the core platform capabilities that clients use to plan, run, and manage testing.

Responsibilities

• Own technical direction and delivery for core platform domains: the capabilities behind the day-to-day client testing experience.
• Raise engineering operating standards and improve how the team plans, builds, and runs software.
• Modernize long-standing systems by reducing accumulated complexity and improving reliability.
• Build agentic workflows into the platform core: move from assistive AI features to workflows that can plan, execute, and adapt testing work.
• Partner with product on discovery, prioritization, outcomes, and influence on both roadmap and architecture.
• Stay close to the code: spend 20–30% of your time hands-on (production code, critical PR reviews, and signing off on key technical designs).

What your day-to-day will include

• Designing and delivering agentic workflows in the core product.
• Setting multi-quarter technical direction and collaborating with AI/ML on underlying models and frameworks.
• Platform modernization: consolidate fragmented data models, evolve legacy services, and bring transactional integrity to older data stores.

Requirements / qualifications (implied)

• Experience leading engineering teams with ownership of technical direction and delivery.
• Strong ability to guide modernization efforts across legacy systems and data models.
• Ability to collaborate closely with product and AI/ML teams on architecture and roadmap.

Nice to have

• Experience embedding AI agents into product workflows (beyond assistive features).
• Experience with complex transactional systems and reliability-focused engineering.
