About the role

Role Overview

Lead an engineering team building the next generation of agentic workflows for financial professionals. The role combines AI, product discovery, and scalable platform engineering to support Grata’s business development tools.

Responsibilities

People leadership & delivery: Lead the team to ensure successful product delivery and incremental value creation.
Coaching & growth: Coach engineers on growth plans and promotion readiness; establish and evolve healthy team practices.
Execution & planning: Balance near-term delivery with long-term technical health; manage technical debt and translate product/technical vision into clear execution plans.
Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Data, AI, and Design.
Culture & practices: Foster high ownership, psychological safety, and a sustainable pace.
Operations & effectiveness: Proactively improve processes, metrics, engineering effectiveness, and capacity planning across quarters.

Requirements

Strong ability with AI-driven coding and expertise in scalable, modular architectures, including architectural patterns, reliability, and trade-offs.
Comfort working full-stack with Python and React.
Experience leading teams building agentic/autonomous workflows.
Experience designing and operating queue-based, event-driven, or asynchronous systems.
Familiarity with ETL and data processing systems (e.g., Databricks / Spark pipelines).
Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka or Pulsar.
Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow and/or dbt.
Exposure to AI/ML-adjacent systems and/or data-heavy platforms.
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and scalable backend services.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Experience guiding architectural evolution, platform upgrades, and forecasting capacity while negotiating scope across quarters.
Track record of balancing delivery goals with technical risk and cross-team constraints.
