Role Overview

As an Engineering Manager at Cribl, you will lead a remote-first, diverse, cross-functional team of engineers. The position blends people leadership with strong technical guidance to help deliver high-impact work in data observability.

Responsibilities

Mentor and guide engineers; enable growth and high performance
Drive project execution and remove obstacles to maintain delivery momentum
Become an expert in your team’s products/services and provide technical insights and strategic direction
Set and uphold standards for design quality, code quality, and system robustness
Collaborate with other leaders to ensure cross-functional alignment and delivery toward company goals
Work with customers to troubleshoot technical issues and support feature enhancements

Requirements

10+ years industry experience
Experience leading remote teams in a dynamic Agile environment
Strong expertise designing and building scalable, distributed systems
2+ years in a technical leadership role (e.g., Team Lead or Engineering Manager)
Demonstrated ability to hire, train, and mentor engineers across the software lifecycle
Hands-on experience with high-scale data streaming systems
Track record of establishing strong engineering practices and processes
Experience building/deploying software in a SaaS environment
