Engineering Manager

Role overview

As Engineering Manager for the Chainlink Deployments team, you will lead engineers responsible for developing and maintaining the Chainlink Deployments Platform. This platform gives product engineering teams standardized capabilities for deployment and operational management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Software and SRE engineers, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
• Drive ongoing development and improvement of the CLD framework, including cross-chain contract deployment and configuration.
• Define operational standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency, reliability, and efficiency.
• Manage team productivity and project delivery.
• Recruit and onboard top engineering talent.
• Champion best practices across reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate cross-team to facilitate cross-team alignment and smooth execution.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of secure contract management, multisig operations, and configuration management in decentralized/distributed environments.
• Experience building and leading teams delivering mission-critical tooling and infrastructure.
• Hands-on blockchain/Web3 experience (decentralized applications or related infrastructure).
• Servant-leadership approach with clear vision, guidance, and support.
• Familiarity with security best practices, secure artifact management, and delivery compliance.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams focused on deployment frameworks, automation, and operational tooling.
• Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• 8+ years software engineering experience, including 3+ years in leadership/managerial roles.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and manage delivery timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to define and implement operational standards, documentation, and self-service tooling.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Technical expertise in distributed systems architecture and cross-chain integration.

• Experience serving globally distributed internal customers with internal tools/platforms.
