Role Overview
Engineering Manager for the Care Platform at Included Health. You will lead engineering teams, advance the platform’s engineering strategy, mentor leaders, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver virtual care solutions that improve the lives of millions.
Responsibilities
- Grow and lead one or more engineering teams focused on key areas of the virtual care platform.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data to define long-term vision and product/technical roadmap.
- Own technical strategy and architecture decisions to ensure scalability, performance, and reliable progress.
- Hire, develop, and retain engineering talent; build an inclusive, accountable team culture.
- Partner cross-functionally to influence product direction, resourcing, and prioritization.
- Improve engineering processes, quality, and reliability across the organization.
Requirements
- 7+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in people leadership.
- Proven ability to lead multiple teams or company-level initiatives at scale.
- Systems-level thinking and comfort aligning technical strategy with product and business goals.
- Ability to drive product impact in ambiguous environments and deliver user-facing products that move metrics.
- Demonstrated team-building skills: hiring, development, retention, plus fostering psychological safety and continuous improvement.
- Sufficient technical depth to engage in architecture/implementation trade-offs (cost, velocity, and value).
Salary & Compensation
- Full-time U.S. base salary target ranges vary by geographic zone (plus equity and benefits):
- Zone A: $149,450 – $211,100
- Zone B: $164,395 – $232,210
- Zone C: $179,340 – $253,320
- Zone D: $194,285 – $274,430
