Engineering Manager

Role Overview

Engineering Manager leading the development of autonomy for off-road construction vehicles. You will own the end-to-end data, perception ML, and analytics stack and be accountable for autonomous performance in unpredictable off-road conditions.

Key Missions

• Lead the perception team across the full stack: from raw sensor ingest to optimized edge inference.
• Own technical excellence across the perception lifecycle, ensuring models perform on-vehicle in unstructured environments.
• Shift from “model chasing” to data curation by building active learning loops that turn real field failures into improved training data.
• Translate technical uncertainty into clear risk assessments for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain ML models for autonomous perception on edge platforms.
• Guide dataset quality and data-centric ML practices to improve reliability and performance.
• Manage and mentor a small technical team while staying hands-on.
• Define fleet-level metrics and use them to steer product roadmaps.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in relevant fields.
• Proven track record deploying ML models to edge platforms, specifically NVIDIA Jetson / Orin.
• Strong expertise in data-centric ML and dataset quality management.
• Experience with TensorRT optimization and inference performance tuning.
• Experience leading small technical teams while remaining hands-on.
• Excellent technical communication across cross-functional teams.
• Strong production experience with Python and PyTorch.

Nice to Have

• Analytics power-user experience: defining fleet-level performance metrics.
• Robotics experience with multi-sensor fusion (Lidar, Radar, Camera) in unstructured/off-road environments.
