Role Overview
Join Ashby as an Engineering Manager (full remote). You’ll build and develop your engineering team, create an empowering environment, and work closely with engineers to improve product and technical outcomes—while staying hands-on with coding and debugging when needed.
Responsibilities
- Build and develop the engineering team: hire, coach, and grow engineers in Europe
- Create high-trust, high-autonomy team dynamics and strong feedback loops
- Manage and lead a growing team of engineers in Europe
- Provide feedback on product and technical specs and influence decision-making
- Stay hands-on: debug customer issues, ship small fixes, and improve developer experience

- Deep understanding of what makes exceptional engineers (recruiting and growth)
- Enjoys being technical and can discuss in depth across infra, backend, and frontend
- Motivated by management challenges: coaching, difficult feedback, and building systems that make these easier
