Engineering Manager

Role Overview

Join Airbnb as an Engineering Manager for the Listings and Quality team. You will define and execute a strategy to improve the Host Listing Management experience using AI and data capabilities.

Key Missions

• Define and execute a 1–2 year strategy and roadmap to significantly improve host listing management.
• Set engineering priorities and balance speed and quality to deliver an ambitious plan.
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers, ensuring execution aligned with technical and business goals.
• Collaborate closely with key engineering teams (e.g., Listings Foundation, Calendar, Pricing, Guest Experience, Trust, Infrastructure, and Customer Service Platform).

Requirements

• 9+ years of industry experience, with 3–5+ years in engineering management.
• Proven partnership with design and product leadership (e.g., proactive collaboration, prototyping, leadership demos).
• Experience setting technical strategies and roadmaps across 1–2 year horizons and aligning with executive/technical stakeholders.
• Strong people management and mentorship, including recruiting, developing, and retaining top engineering talent.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing, healthy, inclusive, and collaborative teams in fast-paced domains.

Nice to Have

• Experience delivering AI/data-driven improvements for customer or host-facing platforms (implied by role focus).
