About the role

Role: Engineering Director, Automation

Drive the evolution and scaling of a large-scale automation and integrations ecosystem that powers modern security and compliance operations. Lead multiple engineering teams responsible for distributed systems, developer platforms, and customer-facing integration services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale engineering teams across integrations infrastructure, automation platforms, and forward-deployed engineering initiatives.
  • Define and execute long-term engineering strategy aligned with platform capabilities, business growth, and customer success.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, Go-To-Market, and Engineering to improve developer experiences and streamline integration delivery.
  • Ensure operational excellence across reliability, scalability, quality, and delivery execution.
  • Build and mentor high-performing orgs, coaching engineering managers and engineers on career growth and performance.
  • Oversee distributed systems and automation frameworks, including real-time monitoring and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Promote engineering culture and continuous improvement, including responsible AI adoption.
  • Ensure secure engineering practices and protection of company and customer data.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of engineering leadership experience in high-growth technology environments; experience leading complex platform/infrastructure teams.
  • Proven ability scaling engineering organizations (40+ team members) across multiple functions/teams.
  • Strong background in distributed systems, integrations platforms, developer ecosystems, and/or large-scale automation infrastructure.
  • Ability to drive execution through engineering managers while maintaining visibility into team health and organizational priorities.
  • Experience building long-term technical strategies tied to business outcomes and product innovation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills; fosters cross-functional collaboration.
  • Mentoring and developing engineering talent; inclusive leadership.
  • Familiarity with AI-enhanced workflows and responsible AI adoption.
