About the role
Role Overview
As an Engineer - Data at The Wendy's Company, you will lead small to medium data platform projects by gathering requirements, executing integrations and configurations, and ensuring delivery quality and timelines. You’ll support data/BI tools and contribute to the data platform using Google Cloud services.
Responsibilities
- Complete sprint assignments and provide level-of-effort estimates for end-to-end data integrations.
- Partner with business partners, developers, and Product Owners to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions aligned with technology strategy.
- Participate in requirement gathering, story scoping, and project timeline planning.
- Manage existing implementations, execute system configuration changes, and support deployments.
- Provide day-to-day support for data and BI tools, including:
- User management, security and permissions
- Configuration changes, existing integrations, and data management
- Testing/QA and troubleshooting
- Support data platform reporting needs by helping create and manage reports and dashboards.
- Gain hands-on exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, especially BigQuery.
- Help with change management and training, shepherding new features to production.
- Stay current on industry trends and recommend solutions to meet business needs.
Requirements
- 2+ years with software implementation and data management (preferred).
- Strong foundations in SQL and Python.
- Working knowledge of BI tools such as Looker and Power BI.
- Working knowledge of cloud technology tools (preferably Google Cloud).
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-changing environment.
- Ability to manage your workload with minimal supervision.

- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Expected to primarily work remotely, with possible travel (10%) to the Wendy’s Restaurant Support Center in Dublin, OH.

Compensation
- Base pay range: $74,000 - $126,000 annually (bonus not included in range).
