About the role

Role Overview

As an Engineer - Data at The Wendy's Company, you will lead small to medium data platform projects by gathering requirements, executing integrations and configurations, and ensuring delivery quality and timelines. You’ll support data/BI tools and contribute to the data platform using Google Cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Complete sprint assignments and provide level-of-effort estimates for end-to-end data integrations.
  • Partner with business partners, developers, and Product Owners to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions aligned with technology strategy.
  • Participate in requirement gathering, story scoping, and project timeline planning.
  • Manage existing implementations, execute system configuration changes, and support deployments.
  • Provide day-to-day support for data and BI tools, including:
    • User management, security and permissions
    • Configuration changes, existing integrations, and data management
    • Testing/QA and troubleshooting
  • Support data platform reporting needs by helping create and manage reports and dashboards.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, especially BigQuery.
  • Help with change management and training, shepherding new features to production.
  • Stay current on industry trends and recommend solutions to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years with software implementation and data management (preferred).
  • Strong foundations in SQL and Python.
  • Working knowledge of BI tools such as Looker and Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of cloud technology tools (preferably Google Cloud).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-changing environment.
  • Ability to manage your workload with minimal supervision.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Expected to primarily work remotely, with possible travel (10%) to the Wendy’s Restaurant Support Center in Dublin, OH.

Compensation

  • Base pay range: $74,000 - $126,000 annually (bonus not included in range).
