Role overview
Entry-to-early-career Data Analyst (Engineer - Data Analyst) for a 100% remote, W2 temp-to-hire opportunity. The role focuses on end-to-end report delivery, operational support, data validation, and process improvement for internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support secure, accurate, and timely report delivery
- Maintain delivery calendars and integrated delivery plans across teams
- Monitor workflow health, identify/escalate risks, and help drive mitigation
- Perform output validation and quality checks to ensure reporting reliability
- Troubleshoot data/reporting issues, identify root causes, and drive resolution
- Fulfill ad hoc reporting/data requests and clearly communicate findings
- Review requirements and contribute input to data design and reporting logic
- Analyze datasets for trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvement
- Research and test tools/automation to improve scalability and efficiency; help standardize workflows
- Collaborate using version control and shared development workflows
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or software/data-related roles (internships/projects count)
- Strong SQL for querying and validating data
- Practical experience with Python for data analysis and scripting
- Familiarity with Tableau (or similar) for data visualization
- Experience working with large datasets and performing data validation/quality checks
- Understanding of ETL, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
- Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Strong written and verbal communication (explain findings to non-technical audiences)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with automated reporting pipelines and/or scheduling/delivery tools
- Familiarity with data governance/security and/or regulated industries
- Additional BI tools: Looker, Power BI
- Experience improving operational processes or implementing automation
