Employment Law Counsel

Role Overview

Join Wiz’s global Employment Law Team as an Employment Law Counsel. You will provide employment and labor law advice across Germany and other EMEA territories, partnering closely with HR and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and guidance on labor and employment matters across Germany and EMEA
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related documents, including:
  • employment agreements
  • severance agreements
  • NDAs
  • other employment-related contracts
• Develop and update company employment policies
• Advise on employee disciplinary actions and manage employee relations issues
• Collaborate with HR to mitigate risk and support cross-functional projects
• Manage and coordinate with external counsels
• Handle employment-related litigation, including matters such as discrimination claims and unfair/unlawful dismissal
• Support legal considerations for M&A transactions and their employment law implications

Requirements

• Licensed attorney in Germany
• Minimum 5 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably as internal legal counsel in a high-tech/technology company
• Strong knowledge of labor and employment law, including related areas such as:
  • contracts
  • commercial law
  • data protection/privacy law
• Experience advising employment matters in international markets, particularly EMEA
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-law stakeholders
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and judgment skills for high-pressure decision-making
