Electrical Design Engineer (Estonia)

Role Overview

Independent contractor Electrical Design Engineer to support design and coordination of cutting-edge data center projects (long-term, ongoing collaboration). Work with multiple engineering disciplines and contribute from schematic design through execution.

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements related to scope, cost, and schedule
• Determine and expedite engineering deliverables
• Develop and maintain scope of work documentation and revisions during design evolution
• Design electrical systems including:
  • Power distribution
  • UPS systems
  • Standby generator systems
  • Security and life-safety systems
• Prepare:
  • Engineering calculations
  • Schematic and detailed designs
  • Execution-ready technical documentation (design criteria, calculations, process flow sheets, equipment specs/data sheets)
• Review shop drawings
• Produce models and drawings using BIM/CAD tools
• Use BIM tools to virtually construct electrical systems and coordinate with other disciplines (e.g., Autodesk Revit)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering
• Proven expertise as an electrical engineer
• English B1+ (written and spoken)
• Experience with electrical design across industrial/residential/commercial sectors, including:
  • Medium and low voltage distribution
  • Lighting
  • Grounding
  • Lightning protection
• Experience with electrical modeling software
• Hands-on tools/software experience with at least some of:
  • Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD
  • ETAP, SKM Power tools, Dialux
• Experience working on multidisciplinary projects
• Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes
• Understanding of electrical codes and safety standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• Strong communication and ability to multitask and meet deadlines

• Additional depth in mission-critical/data-center electrical systems
• Strong BIM coordination experience across disciplines
