Role overview

As Director of Software Engineering at ATPCO, you will oversee the delivery and execution of high-quality software products. You’ll align technology strategies with the company mission while leading, mentoring, and scaling multiple engineering teams to ensure security, stability, and availability.

Responsibilities

Set technology strategy and roadmaps, collaborating with product, design, and architecture partners
Define OKRs, performance indicators, and goals aligned to company objectives
Ensure security, stability, and system availability, driving continuous improvement and innovation
Lead and manage multiple engineering teams, focusing on performance, technical development, and growth
Foster a culture of continuous improvement in software engineering and delivery practices
Promote self-organizing, high-performing teams focused on craftsmanship, scalability, and resilience
Mentor technical leaders and develop innovation and leadership across levels
Maintain operational excellence (highly available, fault-tolerant systems)
Collaborate cross-functionally to build decoupled but cohesive systems
Own performance management outcomes and talent standards
Oversee financial health of systems, managing costs and revenues/value delivery

Requirements

Proven experience leading and scaling multiple engineering teams in a high-performing environment
Ability to align technology strategy with company goals and partner effectively with product/design/architecture
Strong technical expertise in software architecture, security, stability, and system availability
Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineering leaders and drive team ownership and growth
Experience defining OKRs and measurable performance indicators for alignment and accountability
Proven operational excellence delivering highly available, fault-tolerant, resilient systems
Strong business acumen managing budgets, costs, and engineering value delivery
