About the role
Role Overview
Director of Product Management responsible for end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and commercial success for two product pillars:
- Application Acceleration
- Application Security
You will drive platform convergence, build alignment across large organizations, and ensure solutions are both technically superior and financially optimized.
Key Missions
- Define a long-term vision for Application Acceleration and Application Security business units, ensuring smooth integration within broader SASE frameworks.
- Lead the evolution of firewall capabilities, including:
- WAF
- NGFW
- Distributed cloud firewalls for modern distributed workloads
- Establish and maintain a “Competitive Moat” to sustain technical differentiation versus both legacy and emerging competitors.
Responsibilities / Leadership Outcomes
- Influence stakeholders and “influence the influencers” to drive alignment without direct authority.
- Foster rigorous product evaluation practices and strategic influence.
- Manage product financials, including gross margin analysis and unit economics.
- Build products from the ground up to meaningful revenue and optimize existing high-scale product lines.
- Navigate mergers and acquisitions, merging disparate policy interfaces into a unified platform experience.
- Conduct or support AI model evaluations (writing and refining evaluation approaches).
Requirements
- 10+ years in Product Management, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
- Deep technical fluency in network security, including SASE architecture, Next-Generation Firewalls, WAF, edge computing, and bot management.
- Proven track record managing product financials (gross margin, unit economics).
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Engineering/Computer Science or related).
- Experience with AI model evaluations.
- Proven ability to build and grow products (new and existing) to significant revenue.
- Experience with M&A integration, especially unifying policy interfaces.
- MBA.
Nice-to-Haves / Bonus
- Demonstrated success persuading external stakeholders/partners to align to strategy without direct incentives.
- Identifying market gaps in SASE—especially convergence of SD-WAN, ZTNA, and Cloud Firewall capabilities.
