About the role
Role Overview
Director of Product Design at Talkiatry, responsible for end-to-end design across consumer booking flows, the patient portal, provider software, and internal operational tools. You will lead and grow a product design team while partnering closely with product, engineering, clinical, and operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the product design team; mentor designers and build a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Own the end-to-end design process for consumer booking, patient portal, provider tools, and internal operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, clinical, and operations to deliver intuitive, effective, and delightful user experiences.
- Build and maintain design systems in Figma, including advanced workflows and ongoing design-system management.
- Use data and user research to guide design decisions and champion the voice of patients and providers across the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Strong consumer product instincts and ability to balance business objectives with patient and provider needs.
- Proficiency in Figma, including prototyping, advanced workflows, and design system management (including AI-related workflows).
- 9+ years of professional product design experience with a strong portfolio focused on consumer product design.
- 3+ years of people management experience, leading and developing design teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influence across disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to balance UX, business goals, and technical constraints.
Nice to Have
- Experience doing and/or managing product research.
- Interest in using AI to improve and accelerate product design and development.
- Experience designing for healthcare (preferred but not required).
