Director of Mechanical Engineering

Role Overview

As a Director of Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Engineering Manager), you will lead the mechanical engineering department to design and execute infrastructure solutions for existing healthcare facilities. This is a full-time remote role with flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, promoting collaboration and professional development
• Manage complex mechanical projects end-to-end, including task delegation and resource allocation
• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with cross-functional partners (e.g., electrical, PM, construction)
• Review designs for compliance and present them to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) for approval

Requirements

• Relevant mechanical engineering leadership experience (implied as necessary for eligibility)

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience delivering healthcare facility infrastructure projects
• Strong ability to work with AHJs and ensure regulatory compliance
