Role Overview

Director of Engineering (Remote – North America) You will define and execute the strategic vision for a multidisciplinary, multi-site engineering team spanning mechanical, electrical, automation, and facility systems. The position emphasizes technical excellence, operational reliability, continuous improvement, and site safety across six production facilities, with regular travel to site locations.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams through end-to-end planning and design for:
- new facility builds
- facility retrofits
- capital equipment upgrades and installation projects
Develop and implement strategic engineering direction, operating autonomously to improve plant efficiency and performance
Partner with senior leadership, technology/R&D, internal teams, and customers to pilot and deploy emerging technologies
Recruit, mentor, and grow a world-class, multi-site engineering team with a culture of:

- technical innovation

Requirements

Engineering degree
Proven people leadership experience leading engineering departments/projects
Background in manufacturing (food & beverage, industrial, or agriculture preferred)
Willingness to travel across the US (fully paid travel and per diem)
Strong communication and customer-facing skills

Nice-to-haves

Experience delivering high-impact CAPEX programs and greenfield facility builds
Familiarity with continuous improvement and operational reliability in industrial/manufacturing environments
