About the role

Role Overview

Remote contract role for a Director of Engineering - BioTech at CytoCync. You will lead engineering teams, provide technical direction, and ensure software projects execute smoothly while aligning engineering goals with broader organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor engineering team members
Provide technical guidance to drive high-quality software delivery
Oversee complex software integration efforts and ensure end-to-end functionality
Plan and manage projects, including creating and executing project roadmaps
Collaborate cross-functionally to align engineering objectives with organizational goals

Requirements

Proven experience in Engineering Management and Team Leadership with cross-functional leadership
Strong background in Software Development and proficiency with modern technology stacks and coding practices
Project management skills (ability to create, oversee, and execute roadmaps)
Experience with systems/software integration across platforms
Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to Have

Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance (e.g., HIPAA)
Experience in biotech, medtech, or healthtech industries
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science or related field
