Director of Business Development

Role Overview

Full-time Director of Business Development to expand silverorange’s client base and drive sustained growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and implement a strategic business development plan
• Build and manage a sales pipeline; implement and maintain a CRM (or alternative) for lead tracking
• Identify, establish, and cultivate new client relationships
• Represent the company at events, client visits, and business mixers
• Respond to RFPs and create proposals for prospective clients
• Recommend B2B marketing strategy and monitor industry trends
• Advise leadership on potential new markets and conduct research to support service offerings
• Maintain and/or coordinate communication with existing and former clients to generate future work
• Report regularly to the operations team on business development activities

Requirements

• Must be eligible and available to work from Canada
• Willing and able to travel nationally and internationally to meet prospective clients
• 5+ years leading B2B sales in the digital services industry
• Experience creating and managing a business development plan and actively managing a sales pipeline
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills
• Strong client management skills
• Demonstrated ownership and self-direction
• Experience in remote/asynchronous environments is an asset
