Director Engineering - Electrical and Controls

Role Overview

Director of Engineering for Electrical and Controls. Lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation within a consumer-facing manufacturing environment. Work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain equipment specifications across sites
• Advance electrical power safety programs to meet regulations
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards
• Lead obsolescence programs with strategic planning
• Provide engineering leadership for automation across sites
• Drive Digital Transformation initiatives in manufacturing
• Influence cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
• Manage relationships with external engineering consultants
• Support development and performance of engineering staff
• Partner with stakeholders to resolve technical challenges
• Maintain corporate engineering standards with internal and external partners

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or related engineering field (preferred)
• 10+ years of progressive technical leadership experience
• 5+ years with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell systems
• Experience managing at least 4 direct reports
• Accountability for capital projects ($5–15M)
• 4+ years in food manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and industrial automation systems
