Responsibilities

Design Leadership

  • Define and lead the design vision and strategy across TailorCare’s products.
  • Build and evolve a cohesive design system and UX standards across patient and care team applications.
  • Ensure high standards for usability, accessibility, and consumer-grade quality.
  • Build and mentor a design team (product design, UX research, interaction design).
  • Establish design processes: discovery, prototyping, usability testing, and iteration.
  • Drive a culture of design thinking, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

Patient Experience Design

  • Lead design for the full patient journey: onboarding, intake, education, triage, engagement, adherence, and outcomes tracking.
  • Translate clinical workflows and patient needs into empathetic, intuitive digital experiences.
  • Design for behavior change, engagement, and improved clinical outcomes.

AI-Enabled Design

  • Integrate AI-assisted design tools to accelerate prototyping and design exploration.
  • Explore AI-enabled interaction patterns (including conversational and intelligent workflows).
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to design AI-powered patient guidance experiences.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Product Managers and Engineering leaders on strategy, roadmap priorities, and feasibility.
  • Participate in product discovery to shape solutions early.
  • Ensure designs align with product/technical architecture and real-world clinical delivery.
  • Communicate design direction clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Advocate for patient-centric and trust-focused design principles.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product design, UX design, or experience design.
  • 3+ years managing and leading design teams in a high-growth product environment (startups preferred).
  • Deep expertise in experience design, interaction design, and service design, especially for B2C healthcare or consumer digital health.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience designing in regulated or clinical environments and partnering closely with care teams.
