About the role

Role Overview

Director, Chief of Staff & Business Operations at Swooped, reporting directly to the CEO. This is a hybrid role combining Chief of Staff responsibilities with Business Operations leadership—driving strategic initiatives, building operating cadence, and enabling company-wide execution through influence rather than authority.

Responsibilities

Partner with the CEO
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner
- Drive strategic initiatives from concept through execution
- Support executive communications, Board materials, planning sessions, and company-wide priorities
Keep the Executive Team Aligned
- Build the operating cadence for the Executive Leadership Team
- Facilitate executive meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews, annual planning, and leadership off-sites
- Translate decisions into action plans with clear ownership and accountability
- Identify risks, dependencies, and execution gaps early
Build Business Operations
- Develop executive dashboards and KPI frameworks as the organization’s source of truth
- Improve visibility into revenue, profitability, customer health, operational performance, and strategic initiatives
- Lead business reviews and turn complex information into practical recommendations
Drive Company-Wide Execution
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Revenue, Customer Success, Marketing, Partnerships, People, and Operations
- Improve communication and collaboration and build scalable operating processes for growth
- Remove friction that slows execution and keeps teams focused on highest-impact work

Requirements

10+ years in Chief of Staff, Business Operations, Strategy, Consulting, Product Ops, Revenue Ops, Corporate Development, or similar roles
Proven ability to bring order to complexity by building systems that align organizations and drive follow-through
Experience partnering directly with senior executives in a high-growth technology environment
Strong facilitation skills for executive discussions and planning
Comfortable shifting between strategic leadership and hands-on problem solving
Known for being approachable and collaborative, with influence without formal authority

Nice-to-haves

Experience with executive dashboards / KPI frameworks and operating cadence development
Track record of accelerating cross-functional execution at scale
