About the role

Role Overview

Cognizant is seeking a Digital Product Designer (UX/UI Designer) to design intuitive, engaging, user-centric digital experiences. You will partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align user needs with business objectives using design thinking, user research, and data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver high-quality UX/UI for digital products (usability, accessibility, visual consistency)
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs (e.g., Figma)
Apply design thinking to solve complex user problems and improve usability
Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and marketing
Participate across the full product lifecycle (concept/ideation → design → testing → launch)
Conduct and apply user research and usability testing
Maintain and improve design systems and style guides
Partner with developers to ensure accurate implementation
Use data and product analytics to refine and optimize experiences
Communicate design solutions effectively to stakeholders
Ensure designs meet brand goals and accessibility standards
Stay current on design trends, tools, and emerging technologies

Requirements

Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer, Product Designer, or Digital Designer
Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered and visual design skills
Hands-on Figma expertise (required) and other design/prototyping tools
Solid understanding of design thinking, usability, and interaction design
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Familiarity with data-driven design and product analytics

Nice-to-haves

Experience with Jira and Confluence
Domain knowledge in COTS Products (BFS Cards & Payments)

Salary & Incentives

$90,000–$120,000 annually (depending on experience/skills)
Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and comprehensive benefits
