Digital Interactive Developer

Role Overview

Front-end-focused Digital Interactive Developer to build engaging digital experiences for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. This is a remote, temporary (12-month) freelance-style assignment (40 hours/week) working with an East Coast-based interactive team.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain interactive web experiences (marketing websites, forms, banners, sales aids)
• Develop responsive, component-based UIs
• Integrate with APIs and backend services
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement designs with attention to detail
• Participate in iterative review cycles and efficiently incorporate feedback
• Maintain and extend existing codebases, including inherited projects
• Write clean, reusable code with a component-based mindset

Requirements (Must Have)

• TypeScript (advanced) and/or strong JavaScript
• React, Vue, or similar component-based frameworks
• CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind, Bootstrap/SCSS)
• Responsive design across devices
• 2+ years of experience in an advertising or marketing agency
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Next.js or static site generation frameworks
• Component libraries (e.g., Material-UI, Chakra)
• Headless CMS / content-driven architecture
• Complex form development (multi-step wizards, conditional logic, schema-driven forms)
• Animation libraries (e.g., GSAP, Framer Motion)
• Email development (HTML/CSS, MJML, Liquid templating)
• Veeva CLM platform experience
• Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry background

Team / Environment

Remote interactive department (~30 people) inside a ~300-person agency. Development team of ~5 developers working alongside ~7 UX/UI designers in a fast-paced agency environment focused on delivering without burnout.
