Digital Experience Design Director

Role Overview

Digital Experience Design Director (player-coach) to create interactive digital experiences embedded in physical spaces. This is a hands-on design leadership role focused on touchscreen, kiosk, media wall, interactive exhibit, and large-format installation experiences—not a traditional website/SaaS UX role.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital creative direction for assigned projects with the VP of Design and other Design Directors.
• Translate project goals into a cohesive digital strategy (interaction, interface, content, motion, and technology).
• Own digital concept development from early ideation through implementation and serve as the primary creative decision-maker.
• Design intuitive, visually compelling experiences for touchscreens, kiosks, interactive galleries, media walls, and other installations.
• Produce UX/UI artifacts including user journeys, information architecture, interaction models, wireframes, prototypes, and polished interfaces.
• Create visual and interaction systems that unify multiple digital touchpoints into one cohesive guest story.
• Develop concepts and interactions using sketches, storyboards, user flows, prototypes, motion studies, and related design artifacts.
• Recommend purposeful interaction approaches across touch, gesture, sensors, RFID/NFC, projection, mobile extensions, and emerging technologies.
• Apply user-centered design for real-world public audiences and ensure every digital touchpoint supports the overall storytelling objectives.
