About the role
Role Overview
Valiant Solutions is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer (Ansible/Terraform) to join its cybersecurity engineering team supporting a government client. The role focuses on securing and automating infrastructure and security processes, with a strong emphasis on the Elastic Stack for security analytics and compliance use cases.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Ansible and Terraform
- Support and evolve a mature Elastic Stack implementation for security analytics
- Build log parsers, custom Kibana visualizations/dashboards, and custom alerting
- Create security orchestration to interconnect tools and automate security workflows
- Develop and automate AWS service interactions, including AWS API automation
- Support security/infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-prem data centers
- Produce documentation for solutions and processes
Requirements (Must-Have)
- 5+ years of IT experience (or 8+ years with no degree requirement)
- 6+ years of development experience on Linux/UNIX, including bash scripting and Python or Ruby
- 3+ years with Ansible (playbooks/roles) and Terraform
- 4+ years of AWS experience, including significant AWS API automation
- 2+ years of Jenkins (or similar CI/CD) building/maintaining pipelines
- 2+ years of Ruby development, including scripting that integrates with OS and tool APIs
Strongly Preferred
- Security engineering experience, including SIEM integration and mechanisms to protect CIA (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability)
- Strong systems administration experience
Remote Work
- 100% remote (requires adherence to the company Remote Work Policy and a high-trust environment).
