About the role

Role Overview

PlexTrac is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer (U.S. Remote only) to build and maintain secure, reliable cloud infrastructure supporting its growing SaaS platform. You’ll partner with engineering and platform teams to automate infrastructure, improve security, and enable reliable software delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
  • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Support Kubernetes (GKE) and containerized workloads
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks
  • Write automation scripts in Python, Bash, or Go
  • Implement secure infrastructure configurations aligned to security standards
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation and security patching
  • Support IAM implementation and identity/access controls
  • Integrate security controls into the SDLC
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure and production systems
  • Participate in incident response and perform root-cause analysis
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues
  • Improve observability via monitoring and alerting
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation and diagrams
  • Collaborate with software engineers to improve deployment and operational practices
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and technical planning

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or DevSecOps
  • Experience with public cloud (preferably GCP)
  • Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Working knowledge of Linux administration
  • Automation experience with Python, Bash, or Go
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative team

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to SOC 2 or ISO 27001
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
  • Experience supporting customer-hosted environments
  • Experience with observability tools and monitoring platforms
