Role Overview

DevSecOps Engineer SME I supporting the implementation and maintenance of DevSecOps pipelines, tools, and processes to enable secure and efficient software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support CI/CD pipeline configuration, integration of security tools, and system interface support under senior guidance
• Contribute to automation and security practices across the software development lifecycle
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues and improve automation workflows
• Ensure work aligns with established DevSecOps standards and team objectives
• Assist with implementation/maintenance of DevSecOps processes to support continuous improvement
• Document processes and configurations; collaborate closely with engineering teams

Required Qualifications

• Experience supporting DevOps or DevSecOps activities within a development team
• Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable contractor fitness determination
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks
• Familiarity with cloud environments and modern application deployment practices
• Minimum 5–7 years of IT experience
• Experience integrating basic security practices into development pipelines
• Ability to troubleshoot pipeline problems and support system integration
• Strong collaboration skills and team effectiveness
• Basic understanding of DevSecOps principles, including automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and security integration
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established standards
• Interest in learning and applying modern DevSecOps tools and practices
• Strong written communication for process/config documentation
• High professional discretion and judgment handling sensitive systems
