DevSecOps Engineer (Intermediate)

Role

DevSecOps Engineer (Intermediate) — remote (telework) support for AWS-based applications.

Contract / Duration

• 5-month position (may be extended but not guaranteed)

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, monitor, and maintain secure platform architectures for AWS applications.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation to reduce manual effort across deployments, testing, security, and operations.
• Create technical documentation and support platform/application Authority to Operate (ATO) activities.
• Proactively remediate security vulnerabilities using DAST/SAST and infrastructure scanning tools.
• Identify strategies to reduce manual work and improve platform performance and availability.
• Act as a platform ambassador/technical representative, collaborating with security, network, and other integrated teams.
• Work with the Technical Lead on platform processes and standards.
• Provide timely technical guidance to development teams on tools, technologies, and processes.

Requirements

• US Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years experience in designing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining secure platform architecture.
• Experience in an Agile development environment.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Infrastructure-as-Code automation experience (e.g., Terraform, Helm charts).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Argo CD.
• Strong English communication skills for Jira coordination and interaction with customer Product Owners.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with GitLab Runner.
• Java/J2EE (Spring Boot, Spring REST, Hibernate).
• Microservices experience.
• SQL database experience: Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect – Professional, DevOps Engineer – Professional).
